RAINBOW STUDIOS presents NOID by Dion Agius & Photographic Curation by John Respondek — A Duo Exhibition
Sponsored by Monster Children

Creative collaborators and long-time friends, Dion Agius and John Respondek bring their distinct yet intertwined practices together for a new duo exhibition at RAINBOW STUDIOS, proudly sponsored by Monster Children.

Both artists are rooted in surf culture, yet their work transcends it, exploring light, movement, and the psychology of place through complementary forms. Following the success of his 2024 solo exhibition Noid’s here at RAINBOW STUDIOS, Dion Agius returns with a bold new collection, furthering his exploration of abstraction, identity, and rhythm. This exhibition also continues his sculptural practice, featuring objects and furniture crafted from recycled surfboards, transforming remnants of his world into tactile works that blur the line between art, design, and sustainability.

John Respondek, one of Australia’s most respected surf photographers, presents a curated series of photographic prints in vintage frames. Each image, cinematic and meditative, captures decades of surf life with intimacy and atmosphere. Respondek has personally sourced and upcycled unique frames from vintage and antique stores, handcrafting each installation so that the photograph and frame exist as a single, one-of-a-kind artwork.

Together, Agius and Respondek’s works create a dialogue between ocean and studio, motion and reflection, friendship and creative collaboration. The exhibition transforms fleeting experiences of salt, light, and memory into tangible art.
