RAINBOW STUDIOS is proud to present ‘I Heart’, the third solo exhibition by Australian artist duo Gelbell.

Tender, irreverent and unmistakably human, I Heart is a love letter to the everyday. At the centre of the exhibition sits the familiar “I heart” t-shirt, a graphic red heart paired with the quiet confidence of a classic white tee. A playful cultural punchline becomes a powerful symbol, holding sincerity inside humour, and joy inside irony.

Often mistaken for a single artist, Gelbell worked side by side on the same canvas, painting in real time and responding instinctively to one another. Gestures overlap, corrections remain visible and authorship dissolves, leaving behind a shared presence in every mark.

Gelbell is the collaborative practice of longtime friends Angelica Wootton and Isabella Greene. Known for their bold, expressive paintings, chaotic energy and layered surfaces, the duo draw on their backgrounds in interiors and furniture design to create large scale works with an intuitive sense of structure, rhythm and space.

I Heart invites audiences to slow down, notice the ordinary, and recognise themselves in the beautifully imperfect moments of everyday life.
