'Lilac Mushy' By Mash Studios

Paper, Plaster, Weighted steel base and Semi-sheer fabric cord sleeve

Height: 1400 mm
Base diameter: 200 mm
Shade diameter: 500 mm

Lilac Mushy is a sculptural floor lamp that celebrates warmth through texture and form. Standing proudly within a space, its playful silhouette softens the room with a quiet sense of comfort, inviting moments of rest and conversation.

Inspired by the objects that quietly become part of our lives, Mushy explores the emotional connection we form with the things we live alongside. Like a familiar presence in the corner of a room, it brings personality as much as it brings light. Its rounded, hand-formed shape balances playfulness with calm, encouraging a slower appreciation of home and the small rituals that unfold within it. As part of the Whirl collection, Mushy continues Jiordan's exploration of memory, nostalgia and the joy found in everyday objects.

Each Mushy floor lamp is individually handcrafted by Jiordan in her Melbourne studio using paper and plaster. Resting on a weighted steel base and finished with a semi-sheer fabric cord sleeve, every lamp celebrates the subtle variations that come from making by hand.

Made to order, each lamp can be customised with your choice of shade colours. The inside and outside of the shade can be customised separately to create your own unique colour combination.

ABOUT MASH STUDIOS

Mash Studios is a Melbourne-based design practice founded by artist and designer, Jiordan Tolli.

Jiordan creates sculptural lighting that sits somewhere between art and design. Each piece begins in her home studio as an exploration of light, form, and feeling, brought to life through hand-shaped plaster and paper.

At its core, Mash is about making. About hands, materials, slow processes, layering, and instinct-led form.

Jiordan’s practice is grounded in a lifelong fascination with light, the way it softens. edges, shifts atmosphere, and holds space for stillness.

Each pendant is designed and made to order. Not just to illuminate, but to change the feeling of a room.

These are functional artworks created to live in homes, to be part of everyday rituals, and to bring a sense of intimacy into space.
