Papou is a dynamic Florida-based artist of Greek and Native American heritage, celebrated for her bold, vibrant works that burst with colour and energy. Her art beautifully weaves together cultural roots, personal memories, and the everyday magic that surrounds us, creating pieces that are as lively and expressive as the artist herself.

Her paintings often feature herself intertwined with Floridian wildlife, using symbols and characters to convey deeper meaning: a seagull representing presence, an alligator symbolising madness, and a chicken embodying the inner voice.

Papou’s creative process is deeply personal, intuitive, and immersive. She often paints with her hands, letting music guide her flow. Through her art, she invites viewers to reconnect with their own inner child, embracing all parts of who they are and celebrating the freedom that comes with accepting our full selves.

'Head In The Clouds', opens on 3rd to 17th April, marks Papou’s first international exhibition. In head in the clouds, Papou reclaims the dreamlike state once seen as a limitation, transforming it into a powerful space where imagination and identity seamlessly merge. Through vibrant, emotive works, she navigates the duality of her Greek and Native American heritage, no longer carrying it as a weight but soaring with it as a source of pride. The stories of her ancestors become part of her own, elevating her to a space where she exists freely—without the need for solid ground beneath her.

In surrendering to the space between reality and imagination, Papou finds her truest self—not as someone lost in a dream, but as the main character in her own unfolding story.
