Together with McMullin and five of our incredible Australian Artists, McMullin transformed our Darlinghurst showroom into ‘The Terrace’ - a home that felt straight out of a Sydney Terrace, filled with furniture, art and plenty of good conversations.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in creating a lived-in home experience shared together.
McMullin Team, thanks for such an incredible event 'The Terrace' came to life over the weekend, can you tell us more about where the idea for this collaboration came from?
The idea for The Terrace grew from our desire to explore the joining of art and interiors in a way that felt approachable, immersive, and inspiring. We wanted to create a space where people could see how curated furniture and art can completely transform the feeling, story, and style of a home. Collaborating with RAINBOW STUDIOS and five incredible artists allowed us to bring that vision to life, showing how each piece from sculptural furniture to curated artworks contributes to a home that feels layered, thoughtful, and uniquely yours. The goal was to spark inspiration and encourage visitors to reimagine the modern home in new, creative ways.
What was your favourite room in 'The Terrace' and why?
The living and dining area was definitely a highlight for us. It became a natural hub for conversation and connection, with guests flowing through the space, engaging with the art, and discovering how the furniture and objects could coexist. That room perfectly captured the energy of the weekend, a blend of style, comfort, and interaction, and really brought the concept of a “liveable gallery” to life.
If you could describe the audience that came through over the weekend in three words, what would they be?
Vibrant, curious, and friendly.
