Carla Uriarte is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves between painting, writing and video. Guided by intuition, Carla’s practice emerges through encounters with different versions of herself, exploring themes of evolution, ancestry, motherhood, identity and connection. Her work is an attempt to externalise internal emotions — giving form to feelings, memories and thoughts that can be difficult to articulate.Through a fluid and interdisciplinary approach, Carla creates work that invites reflection, recognition and connection. At its core, her practice seeks to create a sense of belonging, comfort and camaraderie, offering viewers a space to recognise something of their own journey within hers.
