Marlo Lyda is an Australian-born designer-maker and university educator based in Sydney. A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, her collections bring together furniture, lighting and objects into what she calls “a little universe.” Functional yet sculptural, her work grows from observations of making and embraces irregularity and imperfection across nature, craft and overlooked materials.

In 2025, Lyda was selected for the National Gallery of Victoria’s Rigg Design Prize and recognised in Vogue Living’s VL50. Her research has also been supported by the NSW Design (Early Career) Fellowship with the Powerhouse Museum and the George Alexander Fellowship. Her work has been presented internationally at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, Dutch Design Week and Collectible New York.
