Tan Arlidge is an Australian sculptor known for capturing a sense of movement through material manipulation, her striking works freezing fleeting moments of energy and transformation.
Her creative path began in fashion, spending over a decade in visual merchandising, styling and set design for brands including Christopher Esber, Alice McCall, Lee Mathews and Sass & Bide, work that shaped her tactile, materials-driven approach. In 2014, she began experimenting with thermoforming polymer, manipulating heated material into fluid, organic forms, a technique that became the foundation of her practice.
