We’re thrilled to welcome Angus White to RAINBOW STUDIOS with a new collection of medium-sized works, created between Paris and Sydney.

Now based in Paris, Angus is a painter whose practice explores the transient nature of human experience through abstraction. With a background in architecture and public art, his work reveals a deep sensitivity to the way space shapes perception. His paintings blend form and figure, gesture and geometry—offering compositions that feel both spontaneous and intentional, physical and emotional.

This new body of work distills presence into marks, textures, and traces—visual echoes of moments, spaces, and sensations. Each canvas captures a tension between stillness and movement, referencing the rhythms of daily life through his unique visual language.

Angus was awarded the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2023, following earlier recognition with the ARM Prize for Architectural Excellence. Most recently, he was selected for a residency at La Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, where he developed an expansive series of new works.

His evolving practice has been met with critical recognition, with recent solo exhibitions in both Melbourne and Sydney receiving strong acclaim. We’re proud to present this next chapter of Angus’s work.
